Cover sheet with photographs says, "Billerica and Bedford Railroad, Original Photographs, Presented to the Bedford Historical Society by Ellis E. Walker, September 17, 1995. These photographs were discovered by a friend of mine in some old files being discarded at the Boston and Maine R.R. general offices sometime in the mid 50's. Knowing my interest in narrow gauge railroads he salvaged them for me. I have had the custody of them ever since. As far as I know these are the only original photographs of the Billerica and Bedford Railroad still in existence. It seems only fitting for me now to present these photographs to the Bedford Historical Society where they will be preserved and made available as source material for study. [signed] Ellis E. Walker." |
