4. Photograph - 2 panoramic photos of the Bedford Bicentenary Celebration, September 23, 1929. Framed together (glass broken when received). One is of the parade staging field, with cars and floats, and the second is of South Road in front of Old Town Hall, with all participants. The photos were purchased by the donor at an antique store several years ago. They were framed by the donor, at Kennedy Studios. The donor moved, and no longer has room for them.

Two men and dog on sidewalk. Road sign says "2A, 4." Notes by Bob Slechta: "From John Dodge 09/23/03. The Great Road from between the Common (right) and the Sheldon (now Blake) block (left) about 1932. Note Old Town Hall (extreme right) -- present brick Boland block on Great Road immediately south of OTH not yet built. Note Sheldon's Pharmacy on left (in Sheldon Now Blake block). Note on left -- just beyond Sheldon block -- a house stood at east corner of Springs and Great Road where Sovereign Bank now stands. John Dodge says place belonged to Hunnewells[?]." The trees have many broken branches, perhaps a result of the great ice storm of 1921. 2 copies

Could this be the same group at another date - blond girl in center with facial palsey, next to girl with straight bangs appears to be the same pair in bottom right of the Hodgman 1886 photo. ~1888-90? Stamped on back: "New England View Co, 235 1-2 Middle Street, Portland, Maine. G. E. Brown, W. C. Rideout."

20. Print, Photographic - Seven color photos of a lamp. Not all scanned. Written on the back of 2004.029.2: "Jerry Qua of Bedford gave me this picture on 7/5/04. He said this lantern is one of two that used to hang beside the front door of the Old Town Hall, maybe 50+ years ago. His father bought them and much later tried to give them to the Historical Society which wasn't interested. So, his son has one near Lake Winnepesaukee on his place. Jerry doesn't know where the other one is located. He will get a better picture, sometime. One inside panel happens to reflect a woman watching the picture being taken! John Brown." Written on the back of 2004.029.3: "July 10, 2004, 22 Winterharbor Way, Tuftonboro, N.H. Sassaqua. By Gary E. Qua."
